AutoCAD MCP Server License Terms

The terms for installing and using PlantEngineer for AutoCAD and its AutoCAD MCP Server.

About these terms

These terms apply to PlantEngineer for AutoCAD, including the AutoCAD MCP Server, the installer, and updates we provide for them (together, the software). They add to our Terms of Service. If your organization has a customer agreement with PlantEngineer, that agreement takes precedence where it differs from these terms.

Your license

PlantEngineer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the software on your workstations for your own or your organization's internal work, for as long as you have access to PlantEngineer. We keep all rights we do not expressly grant.

Plans and sign-in

You must sign in with a PlantEngineer account to run agent tools. The Free plan includes a monthly allowance of tool calls. People who hold an Enterprise seat assigned by their organization can use agent tools without that limit, under their organization's agreement.

To check your plan, the software contacts PlantEngineer regularly while it runs. Agent tools stop working if it cannot reach us for an extended period.

What you may not do

Do not copy, sell, sublicense, or redistribute the software, except as part of deploying it within your organization. Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or modify it, except where the law allows this despite these terms. Do not work around usage limits, sign-in, or other technical controls.

Autodesk software

The software works with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and AutoCAD Civil 3D. You need your own valid license for those products, and Autodesk's terms continue to govern them. PlantEngineer is not affiliated with or endorsed by Autodesk. AutoCAD is a registered trademark of Autodesk, Inc.

AI tools and drawing changes

You choose which AI tools connect to the software. Those tools receive the drawing information your agent reads, and their providers' terms apply to that use. Agents can change your drawings and models. Review changes before relying on them, keep backups of your work, and check engineering outputs before using them in real projects.

Information we receive

The software sends PlantEngineer the information needed to run your plan, such as your account, the installation, and the number of tool calls it has run. Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information.

Updates

We may release updates that fix problems, change features, or add support for new product versions. Some features may stop working in older versions of the software.

Warranty and liability

To the extent the law allows, the software is provided as is, without warranties. Your customer agreement sets out the warranties, liability provisions, and dispute procedures that apply to your organization.

Ending your license

Your license ends when your access to PlantEngineer ends, or if you break these terms. When it ends, stop using the software and uninstall it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the software changes. Updates appear on this page.
